Join KidZania's Year of Engineering Festival and discover new activities, exciting workshops and lots of fantastic partners from May to October 2018!

The Year of Engineering is a government campaign which celebrates the world and wonder of engineering!  

Here at KidZania, we are working with the Year of Engineering to showcase the exciting industry to kids who will help shape the future of the world we live in.

Royal Aeronautical Society – Wednesday 5th - Sunday 9th December 2018

The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) is a registered charity and membership organisation made up of people who work in aerospace and aviation!

Kids can join Royal Aeronautical Society's stand in the city throughout STEM Fair to take part in fun, hands-on design activities, encouraging them to discover what it is like to be an aeronautical engineer! 

Remap – Wednesday 23rd - Thursday 24th May 2018 & Wednesday 20th - Friday 22nd June 2018 *PAST EVENT*

National charity, Remap, works with the Year of Engineering campaign to highlight the value of engineering, especially when practical skills are applied to transform the lives of disabled people, helping them to live more independent lives. Remap volunteers work hard to design and make bespoke equipment for those who need it free of charge! 

In integration with Middlesex Cricket, Remap will run an activity in the KidZania Stadium exploring the engineer-able solutions that need to be created in order to make cricket accessible for all to play! Kids will think up clever solutions and become engineers themselves! Remap will be in the Stadium on Wednesday 23rd - Thursday 24th May 2018 (as part of our Step Into University event) & Wednesday 20th - Friday 22nd June 2018!

Usborne Books – Wednesday 20th June 2018 *PAST EVENT*

Usborne is the UK’s #1 independent children’s publisher, specialising in creative, innovative, engaging books! Usborne is delighted to be a landmark partner of the 2018 Year of Engineering, helping children understand more about engineering through our wonderful range of inspiring and accessible STEM books.

Fantastic Usborne authors Alex Frith, Alice James & Jerome Martin will be at KidZania on Wednesday 20th June during our STEM Fair event to host an exciting STEM Quiz throughout the day. 

Abrams & Chronicle Books - Thursday 21st June 2018 *PAST EVENT*

Abrams & Chronicle Books is the London-based and European arm of acclaimed publishing houses ABRAMS (New York) and Chronicle Books (San Francisco).

This June, Abrams & Chronicle Books will be joining KidZania's STEM Fair to celebrate THE QUESTIONEERS - the best-selling, STEM-tastic series from Abrams Books For Young Readers and by dream-team Andrea Beaty and David Roberts. The series currently includes Rosie Revere, Engineer, Ada Twist, Scientist and Iggy Peck, Architect. Explore the pop-up stand on Thursday 21st June, for inspiring activity kits for young engineers, Rosie Revere bandanas, goodie bags and lots more! 

Aviation Skills Partnership - Wednesday 20th - Friday 22nd June 2018 *PAST EVENT*

Aviation Skills Partnership is an independent umbrella organisation dedicated to transforming the approach to aviation skills and creating career pathways into aviation at all ages and stages. 

Aviation Skills Partnership will run a short workshop activity at KidZania during our STEM Fair event from Wednesday 20th - Friday 22nd June 2018! This unique workshop is designed to get young people thinking about what it takes to be a pilot, in particular what effects being a pilot has on the body both physically & mentally. The workshop will include elements of STEM learning, science of the body and maths challenges!

Sea Cadets - Monday 20th August - Friday 24th August *PAST EVENT*

Sea Cadets help teenagers develop into resilient, confident young people who can thrive in today's complex and sometimes overwhelming world - helping them to go far when they leave school!

For 1 week at KidZania, come and visit the Sea Cadets activity where we will be teaching children all about Marine Engineering - showcasing real engines and teaching children how engines work through hands-on learning experiences!

Engineering Development Trust - Monday 27th August - Friday 31st August 2018 *PAST EVENT*

EDT is a national charity that aims to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists! 

Take part in lots of hands on design, build and test challenges that are created to teach kids how engineering is everywhere and for everyone! There will also be prizes up for grabs so come and join the activities.
