British Airways Competition Winner

Congratulations to our British Airways competition winner!

And the winner is...

Partnering with British Airways, we were delighted to reveal our fantastic competition where kids had the chance of winning some exciting prizes!

We asked for children's help to write the latest article for British Airways’ High Life magazine. This involved downloading our activity pack, where they could brainstorm and create their dream holiday article, writing about who they would go with, what they would see and why they chose that destination! As travel has been limited over the past year, it was amazing to build up children's excitement again about exploring new countries or heading back to their favourite places.

What were the prizes? Children were in with the chance of winning a return flight from a British Airways Domestic Airport in the UK to London, two nights stay at Hard Rock Hotel London, a family ticket to visit KidZania London AND their article in British Airways' High Life Magazine. WOW! Not only this, two runners up received a family ticket to visit KidZania London and a British Airways goody bag!

What are you writing about?

I am writing about the beautiful island of Cyprus, the birth place of Aphrodite. The island is shimmering with golden sandy beaches and the people of Cyprus are happy and friendly.

Who are you going with?

I am travelling with my parents, my six year old curious sister and my faithful fluffy bear Ted.

What will you see on holiday?

I am going to visit my great grandad Agiris who is 87 years old and lives in a remote village called Inia. He grows watermelons and grapes and on the way, we will visit the turtle conversation on Lara beach.

When will you go?

I like to go to Cyprus in the summer because the glorious sun is out and I can splash in the pool, visit Limaseol Marina and have scrumptious ice creams.

Why are you going?

I chose this particular place because I have family there and I am from Cyprus. The food, people and weather are great.

I would go with my little brother Keir, my mum, my dad and my best friend.

What will you see on holiday?

On my holiday I would love to swim with pigs because I really love pigs.

When will you go?

I would go in Winter so that I could have a break from the weather in England.

Why are you going?

I picked this place because I have seen it on TV and have always wanted to go.

I live in Africa and go to a French school. I am in England at the moment and I would like to go to London where my auntie lives.

Who are you going with?

I am travelling with my family that means I will travel with mummy, daddy, grandma, grandad, gran, grandpa and my little sister Rosa.

What will you see on holiday?

Natural History Museum, Borough Market, Kandy Kittens at Selfridges, Big Ben, The London Eye and London Bridge.

When will you go?

Summer holidays because each year we go to England for mine and my little sister Rosa's holiday.

Why are you going?

Because there are lots of markets and famous buildings.

Thank you to everyone who entered! We loved getting to read about children's favourite places or new holiday destinations they'd love to visit, it certainly made us want to book a holiday!
